Red, White & Blue Costume Contest: Official Rules
Date & Time:
- The contest will take place on July 4th at 5:00 pm in the Entertainment Pavilion.
Eligibility:
- Participants must be 18 years or older to enter.
- Contestants must register for the contest by 4:30 PM on July 4th or you can register online!
Theme:
- All costumes must prominently feature the colors red, white, and blue.
- Costumes should reflect the spirit of Independence Day.
Categories:
- Best Overall Costume
- Most Creative Costume
- Best Patriotic Costume
- Best Group Costume (2 or more people)
Judging Criteria:
- Creativity: Originality and inventiveness of the costume.
- Relevance: How well the costume fits the theme.
- Craftsmanship: Quality and detail of the costume.
- Presentation: Overall presentation, including any performance or explanation of the costume.
Judging Process:
- A panel of judges will evaluate the costumes based on the above criteria.
- Each category winner will be announced at the end of the contest!
Prizes:
- Prizes will be awarded for each category winner.
Registration:
- Contestants must sign up by filling out a registration form available at the event location.
- Registration closes 30 minutes before the contest begins.
Costume Guidelines:
- Costumes must be appropriate for a family-friendly event. – This is a PG event!
- Face Coverings can be worn as part of costume, but only can be worn as part of the contest. Must be removed while not on stage.
- No offensive or inappropriate content will be tolerated.
- Costumes must be safe to wear and should not include hazardous materials or props.
Participation Rules:
- Contestants should be prepared to walk the stage or designated area to showcase their costume.
- Group entries must consist of at least two people and must register as a group.
Disqualification:
- Any contestant who violates the costume guidelines or event rules will be disqualified.
- The judges' decision is final and binding.
Miscellaneous:
- By entering the contest, participants agree to have their photos taken and used for promotional purposes.
- The event organizers are not responsible for any lost or damaged items.
